Which animal is the best runner?

Most of you must have already guessed that it is the cheetah, but is it the best runner? To find out, let us understand the top speed and stamina required by the land animal. The cheetah is the fastest animal on land and has a top speed of 130 kilometres per hour but it can only run about 460 meters.

In fact an average human can run 9000 meters or 9 kilometres. So, if you’re looking for an animal with great speed and stamina it’s the pronghorn antelope, the 2nd fastest animal on land. It has a top speed of 98 kilometres per hour and can run 32186.9 meters or an estimated 32 kilometres. It can achieve this with special heat glands on its face.


Which animal is the best swimmer?

Well, unlike the questions, Which animal is the best runner and Which animal is the best flyer, this one is easy. It is the sailfish which has a top speed of can go up to 110 kilometres per hour. The sailfish is a member of the billfish. The billfish include the sailfish, the swordfish and the blue marlin which are known for their sword-like heads.


Which animal is the best flyer?

Well, it is the peregrine falcon. Before finding more about the peregrine falcon let’s check how they do it. When the peregrine falcon is at its top speed it doesn’t just fly, it has to go high up and dive down. When it dives its top speed is 390 kilometres per hour (3 times the speed of a cheetah) while when flying normally it's slower than a cheetah at 64 to 97 kilometres per hour. This makes it the fastest animal in the world. Though it is only for 10 seconds. If you think that going so high and then reaching top speed isn’t enough, meet the White-throated needletail swift. The White-throated needletail swift (commonly known as the needletail swift) is much slower than a peregrine falcon but is still faster than a cheetah at 169 kilometres per hour.
